Benjamin Watson (1980– ) was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and graduated from high school in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He played football for the University of Georgia and signed on as a tight end for the 2017 Baltimore Ravens team of the National Football League. He previously played for the New England Patriots (2004–2009, including the season when the Patriots won Super Bowl XXXIX on February 6, 2005), Cleveland Browns (2010–2012), and New Orleans Saints (2013–2015). He has written two books: Under Our Skin: Getting Real About Race—And Getting Free From the Fears and Frustrations That Divide Us (2015, with Ken Petersen) and The New Dad's Playbook: Gearing Up for the Biggest Game of Your Life (2017, with Meg Meeker).
